The City of Mauldin, SC: Expect Great Things
With a rich history stretching back more than 200 years, Mauldin real estate has long been an important part of Greenville County. While development in the area existed as far back at 1784, the city itself wasn't incorporated until 1910. The real flowering of the present City of Mauldin didn't really occur until after World War II. The city's name comes from South Carolina Lieutenant Governor W. L. Mauldin who was instrumental in getting the railroad to pass through the area. A train station named after Mauldin was established on the site of the present community and over time the name was applied to the entire area.
